[edit] How to Edit Terms in the Glossary

This glossary presents definitions of terms related to gender, gendermainstreaming, diversity, discrimination etc. Moreover, it provides the opportunity to learn about the diversity of understanding of the same terms - depending on the social, cultural and theoretical context in which they are defined. Rather than trying to arrive at the improbable one definition which we all might agree to, we welcome the coexistence of different understandings of the same term.

Please share your knowledge and perspective in contributing to this glossary. To ensure transparency, quality standards and a good framework for learning about the reasons for our diverse understandings it would be helpful if you could add the following information whenever you edit terms for the glossary:

1. Always quote name of source/author, possibly combined with external links

2. Give a short max. 3 sentence long explanation on the development context of the definition

3. If helpful, give 1 or 2 examples of how the term is used

And please remember to put the language indicator after the term if the article is not written in English.

Thank you!
