[edit] Background

In this transnational partnership existing from 2005 - 2007, national EQUAL Development Partnerships (DPs) from Austria, Germany, Poland, Portugal and Slovakia have jointly developed common products dedicated to the implementation of diversity managment and gender mainstreaming both in the individual countries and throughout the European Union.

[edit] Outcomes

[edit] "Principles for the Successful Implementation of Equality Measures (Gender Mainstreaming and Diversity Management) into Enterprises/Organisations"

The brochure "Principles for the Successful Implementation of Equality Measures is the outcome of the work of a multinational working group which was built up by professionals from ten different organisations that integrate the projects from Austria, Germany, Poland and Portugal.

With the coordination of the partners from Austria the group worked together in order to define a set of principles for a successful implementation of equality measures.

The brochure is a tool mainly addressed for enterprises/organisations which are in a process of introducing equality measures in their organisational environment. This process is made of different levels of approach which comprise fundamental steps for the implementation of equality measures. In this brochure the focus lies on the level of the Principles which are regarded as necessary for a successful implementation of equality measures.

The principles listed are illustrated by examples from companies/organisations from Austria, Germany, Poland and Portugal where specific conditions, approaches and a diversity of experiences about the process of introducing equality measures are shown.

[edit] "Quality Standards for Gender Equality and Diversity Training in the EU"

Resulting from the work of experts from all five partner countries, all representing different entities and having different professional backgrounds, a booklet on "Quality Standards for Gender Equality and Diversity Training in the EU" was produced.

The aim of the quality standards presented in this booklet is to give facilitators and contractors an idea of what is essential for leading successful gender equality/diversity training workshops in the European Union. The transnational Pro(e)quality partnership was based on the idea of sharing diverse experiences from different countries and learning from these experiences. The standards should be used as general, valid criteria, but also as the basis for further discussion and development. The training experiences presented here – the lessons learned – may be used purely as reference material or to solve real-life problems.

The quality standards were developed mainly to help gender issues training facilitators and experts in the act of planning, performing and reflecting upon gender equality training. Contractors working in organizations and companies may also find these quality standards and indicators useful when looking to find high quality training programmes and facilitators among the various possibilities available on the market. This booklet can also be used by policy and decision makers on the national and European level.
